What is Silcrow?
Silcrow is an India-first compliance reasoning layer. Point it at a feature document or PRD and it evaluates that feature against the laws and standards that apply, returning clear, feature-level findings, each traced to a regulator citation.
How is it different from ChatGPT?
A general chatbot answers from memory and can confidently invent a clause that doesn't exist. Silcrow retrieves the actual statutory text from a curated, version-stamped corpus and reasons only over what it retrieved — so every finding cites a real regulator source you can verify, and uncertain calls are flagged for review instead of guessed.
Which frameworks do you support?
Today the live corpus covers the DPDP Act 2023 and IT Rules 2021, with RBI, SEBI, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001 and more on the roadmap. You can also bring your own internal policies. See the frameworks page.
Does Silcrow replace my compliance team or lawyer?
No. Silcrow is decision-support that does the heavy lifting of retrieval and drafting; a human reviews, edits, and signs off every report. It is not legal advice.
Is my data secure?
Your product documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and stored in an India region. You control retention and can delete a project's data at any time.
